Does anyone know how i go about adjusting my handbrake tension, using the bias valves on the rear drums??

ive taken the rear wheels and drum covers off but dont know wot the halfords book is tellin me to do after, summink about measuring between 5 and 20mm movement.

It failed the mot on this being only 14%, so i need to do it sooner rather than later...

any help appreciated
