There is a common fault on the FRST's that run a T2 - its the oil return pipe. They are very thin and long and are known for bad drainage, Ford i'm led to believe brought out a modified pipe but they are like rocking horse poo to find now.
This may be your problem so bare it in mind
more like the oil return is level, as in its at the same angle from the bottom of the turbo as it is in the block. thats why it doesnt drain properly
