thats the downpipe not the manifold =- all ford did was weld a washer in it to try to control the back pressure from the T4
AKA, I was only going by what I've read (see the edited post above)...........But if Pete RS Specialist says that manifolds are not sleeved, then I am inclined to believe him.
down pipe was sleeved,not manifold,

Going back to the start, essentially they are the same animal, parts from an RS500 engine can be replaced with the equivalent 2wd component and vice versa.
