Actually, I have noticed that with the Mi-16 engine. The bottom ends do seem to break on hard driven ones.Have they got a weak point with regards to oil supply or is it one of the cars that particularly benefits from a baffled sump?
Even baffled sumps wont solve the problem on the Mi16 engine. Lots of people on the 205 forum experience oil surge when driving on the road on road tyres (e.g. 0psi oil pressure going when going round bends )

Apparently the problem is to do with it retaining oil in the head and so there basically isn't enough oil in the sump! You can start drilling out the head to drain faster, or fit a bigger sump, with baffles and an extended oil pickup pipe which apparently works. Or spend about 2k on a dry sump conversion

The GTi-6 engine doesn't have this problem but it is an iron block compared to the Mi16's alloy so put more weight up front
