could be noisey tappets but u would know if its the tappets im sure ??

if a engine is making noises that it shouldnt when cold start up summits not right , tappets is nothing to worry about as most cossies are tappety even when warn and ticking over , all quiet one minute then tappets have a rattle for a few secs then quiet again
