Last week i replaced the clutch on my rs turbo engined xr2, turned out it was the wrong clutch and slipped like fook

so bought another clutch and replaced it again, this time seemed ok.
anyway shortly after, i was in a service station, came out and noticed oil on the floor. drove it carefully home but the clutch slips like mad again. took the plate off the bottom of the engine tonight and the bottom of the box has loads of oil in it.
im pretty sure its gearbox oil (smells like it) and im pretty sure its not from the crank seal........so my question is will the oil most likely be coming from the input shaft ? if so is it diy fixable ? and also will i be able to save the friction plate ? (dont want to put it back together and find it slips again)
Cheers.
