or am i looking roughly,
£500 for the part, allow 5% so thats another £25, then 17.5% vat making it £615 than the courier charges of say £35
so total is around £650?
YES. Its Parts cost, plus freight costs, plus import duty on that total. Plus U.K carriers' collection cost THEN all Plus VAT at 17.5%
£500 + £65 =£565 + 4% = £587.60 + £15 = £602.60 + 17.5% = £708.05
Apart from Texas and somewhere else I can't remember, there is no local tax in the states (VAT etc). The price THEY state on websites or Catalogues, is the price YOU pay. I buy parts for my Mustang and for my Focus project regularly from U.S.
.Rough way to look at it is Whatever they show the price in DOLLARS, call it pounds and that's the price here all tax paid.
Sometimes freight charges are high for heavy or fragile items.
I paid $200 for a pair of genuine FORD headlamps for my Mustang, but had to pay $200 frieght as the supplier would only send them DHL who are expensive but don't break things.
