As much as id like a fancy speed sensitive one, i cant afford that, and cant see why id need to, the standard one is only rpm sensitive, not speed...

Why on earth wouldnt it?
Its the same mechanism still, the same rack still, the same fluid still, the internals of the pump are also essentially the same its just the pump is turned by electric motor not a pulley driven off a belt!
