you gotta be real careful when cleaning alley parts with chemicals because if you have a chemical that can strip of the oxide layer from the aluminum, some very agressive actions can take place! the outside of aluminum is always in its oxide state, and will do anything to get oxidized

thinking about it,,, sulfuric acid wouldnt be good in a strong form,,,

i think sulfuric acid is H2SO4

remove the oxygen (which a non oxidized alley will do), and one of the parts you are left with is H

hydrogen and you dont wanna go there


i'll ask a surface expert chemist tomorrow on what too use
