Well technically its a lot of mods to an old ECU, but yes your basic argument there holds lots of water indeed.

Modifiying an existing ECU is actually harder to automate than making a new one, so the cost reflects that, it HAS to do so.

If you were starting with a kit car running a zetec turbo engine then i dont think you would choose an RP Labs ECU, but people with cossies tend to quite like keeping cossie bits in them, so a cossie with a cossie ECU will appeal to a lot of people.

Why do people have 10 grand YB's to make 500 bhp when they could fit an LS2 and do the same for far less money and its going to last far longer too?
