It comes with a warranty for the RP Labs parts and if your L8 itself goes wrong (when was the last time you heard of one doing so?) for a nominal fee they will trasnfer your RP labs bit into another L8 anyway.

Mike suggested that and then the cost WAS reduced, this price in this thread is far lower than the initial pricing structure.

I agree, that does seem unfair when surely its pointless having a high spec ECU with modern features and then having a crappy old distributor based system, personally i would have marketted it at the DIS price and then had "non DIS = 70 quid reduced cost option" but thats just semantics the truth is obviously that the DIS is a seperate bit of kit that you can either have installed or not, so it makes sense having a different price for wether you choose to have it or not.
