Default Supercharger drive belts

Seeing as ive got this Eaton M45 here I may as well make use of it, but I have a question...

The standard pulley is a multi-v belt rather than a toothed one, so how does it grip properly?

Do you need to knock up a tensioner etc?

Also, I could run it off the crank pulley that runs the A/C normally, but the pulley is about 3/4 of the size of the S/C one. Could I run a slightly thinner belt with no problem?

Looks like making brackets to mount it could be a cunt too, i guess needs to be held in dead well...
