The first bit didn't come across as funny, more sarcastic. And the second line made me feel like a div, which I know am when it comes to cars, but I don't need reminding.
What you said, I'll try tomorrow and see what happens. 4 months of pent up frustration having problem after problem with the car, paying rent and a mortgage on less money after moving 300 miles tends to wind me up a bit. Just be nice for something to go right for once.
