we've put the problem down to me fookin up basically, i changed my spec on accident or by my lack of knowledge. i had a measured 7.9:1 C/R but then i had a head skim and reduced head gasket thickness it may have been that more got skimmed than i knew, and we're estimating C/R now to be 9.0:1
