Sparker... Fair play mate, everything i've read says you can't run the VVT with a turbo application. which is why I sorta said that it was maybe a cheaper option to go for the FRS engine.
I know of people who have built ST turbo's so they are (do)able, I was just pointing out it wasn't the cheapest option.
As for why people would choose the ST over the standard 2ltr Blacktop, I understand that although the ST lump is basically a revised Blacktop it has many uprated specs...
