The easier option I've taken? A Linux server on the network, that I can transfer stuff to/from any of the Windows machines on my network with absolute ease...
I just fitted a bluetooth USB stick into both machines, so when I want someting on one machine to be put on another, I just send via bluetooth!
Does mean I have to initiate it from the machine that currently has the file, and that it only works as an FTP type thing, and also means I STILL can't share a fucking printer
