cut the top off 2 of the old head bolts, then cut a slot in the top of them so you can get a flat blade screwdriver into them, then screw them into the bolt holes at opposite corners of the block. Now you can drop your fully assembled head stright on, no worrying if the gasket/holes etc are all inline screw a few new head bolts gently down, then you can unscrew the old bolts using a flatblade screwdriver- dead easy, much better than fucking about trying to put inlets/exhausts/turbos on in he car
