im ok useing top and bottom reg connections, as hoses attach to these its just the o-ring part i need to find a way to block it up if poss? or will i need to use it?

You really need to sit down and think abour how a fuel pressure reg works. You need all connections!! And to the right place. At best your car will not start, at worst you will set yourself/garage/house on fire!
