Thanks for the advise on this post, cars running nice. As sump was off changed the oil to sikoline 15w 50 as recomended. Well worth the piece of mind. Conversion working well but do have to push the pedal down quite hard. But it was like this before the conversion was done.
Only problem is one of the right pads is rubbing, we did have a problem with the caplier hight and discs rubbing, but we solved it by rubbing it with sand paper and clearing the rust that was on it off.
Any solutions for the pad rubbing, as it will be nice when done.
We used a second hand kit mate, it was xr 4x4 calipers and the discs are cross drilled. As kit was second hand had to clean alot of rust off it, but was worth the saving. We also regreased all the bearings and used copper grease in the relevant areas.
As so noob, i need to judge our level of compitence.
If this was a haynes job, how many spanners would it be?
Just need to change timing belt, and fix the pad rubbing problem nut ill put some more miles on before trying to fix, as could be bedding in and at last i can go for a rolling road.
Many thanks too all that helped again.
