BUT i have been told that the 1mm thickness of them does something with the wheels/camber so i am going to cut mine off around the hubs so that there is stil the 1mm bit of plate, but just no sheild
only difference between 4x4 and 2wd rears is that the 4x4 uses a vented disc and wider calliper.
it just means the track at the rear is that thickness wider if you keep the plate and cut the rest off
at least that way you don't need to mess about taking the hub to bits
