Sorry mate, but you should have pulled it up on the non-straight steering wheel when you bought it, and you certainly shouldn't have even discussed things without a fresh MOT, and this could have been avoided, this could well have a bearing on your RAC warranty.

Don't have a go at the garage yet, he may have been as unaware as you. We're not all shitbags, sometimes things we aren't aware of come to light.

Technically he's done nothing wrong. You can't prove conclusively that the damage didn't occur between 3 months ago and now, or that the garage knew anything about it.

I work as a Car Trader, and one thing that makes my life very upsetting is people ringing up screaming the odds without giving us even a chance to rectify the fault. I won't knowlignly sell a car with a problem, and I want every person that buys a car off us to be genuinely happy with their purchase, and to come back, it's what makes the job worthwhile, and no matter what anyone says, it's not the money.

Give them a chance. It really isn't their responsibility at this point, but ask.
