my manifold heatshield used to rattle as the bolts holding it on had reacted to the heatshield metal and corroded through.
i tried to remove the bolts to replace them with new ones with washers but the heads rounded off
i've since used some stainless cable ties to fix it at the lower point where 2 other bolts had corroded through next to the downpipes - did the job
