as far as induction kits go think K+N's do the best job of filtering etc but i love the sound of the others such as the pipercross ones

if your have a front mounted intercooler what does it matter about the heat ?? think about it the turbo is sucking the air into the turbo from the airfilter then it sending it around the intercooler(front mounted) for cooling and then into the charge carrier to the throttle body ....so surely all u want is some thing that as derestricted as possible so that the turbo can suck as hard as possible ?? i know in an na car with no intercooler its very important but in a turbo car the turbo is roasting anyway so it wont matter how cold the air into it is bacause once its in the turbo its gonna get crazy hot anyway ??

i think u'll find the temp of your air being sucked in will proportionally effect the temp of ur turbo itself therefore causing the air to be hotter once entering the intercooler and exiting the intercooler.
essentially the denser the air in the whole system the better otherwise you'll get accumulative temperature increase.
