Yes there is a marking in the middle of the sight glass, as you turn the pulley slowly
clockwise by hand, notice that the circular part beneath the sight glass has a half section that is raised (high) and the other half is lower. The correct phase point is exactly as the raised part just starts to run past the sight glass marking.
