Hi pretty new to the forum so apologies if this is not quite the right section
At the moment i have a 2005 mk6 fiesta zetec-s and so far having owned the car two months ni have been slowly buying parts that i think i will need to turn it into a bit of a trackday weapon (no laughing)
so far it has had wheels (not essential but nice to have)

18x7.5 Kei Racing Force 10's with avon ZZ-3 215/35zr18
Kw variant 1's
and mondeo mk3 300mm brake conversion using ST170 discs
as i am quite keen to take it to the track i am looking inot buying a quaiffe ATB diff and poly bushes + front and rear upper strut braces
has anybody fitted a quaiffe atb diff to the IB5 gearbox? and if so what sort of money is involved and what is your opinion of it?
as this will hopefully have the handling side of things nicely sorted i am looking for more power (aren't we all) and have been looking into putting throttle bodies on the car. so far i have only seen these kind of conversions on kitcars made by shawspeed and so with a little research through them i have found that in order to run their management system i would need to keep the original ecu in the car to run stuff like the windows and lights etc and use their omex 600 kit to run the engine alone
this was fine until i found that ford where making a VCT head for the 1.6 in the form of the ti-vct used on the new shape focus and liking the idea of having torque throughout the rev range does appeal to me as i don't want to lose the driveability of the car so have been looking into doing this. however therein lies the problem omex as far as i understand cannot control the VCT system and the only one i think might be able to is the autronic SM4 but it would require a custom made loom which sounds pretty pricey
basically if anyone has any pointers or advice to say on this could you please let me know as although this will take a while for me to acquire all the relevant parts i'd like to start now rather than leave it much longer i am very much a newb when it comes to more in depth engine work etc so if you've got any advice please give it
thanks
Lewis
