Well worth doing as when first checked (pics are after adjustment !) strainer/pick-up was "tilted" and nearly 30mm off the bottom of sump one end and 22mm the other
Now it will be 8mm + sump gasket thickness all the way round !
If this gap is not checked then oil surge can cause air bubles to enter pick up and oil starvation can follow !!
How many others do a similar task when building their engines ?
