I built DIY a PC media unit that connects via hdmi or vga to my tv...avi/xvid look surperb at 50 inch especially upscaled

Dont bother trying to convert avi to dvd as the quality turns shit plus takes 2 years

Alot of people think an avi file if say 700mb dont look any good on anything other than a moniter..WRONG put it on your TV in this order..DVI/HDMI is best...VGA direct to compatible TV is the same as moniter (film viewing only) worst scenario is a tv out video card to the tv...but although windows looks crap...avi files look great no matter what size TV
