Pepboys or Autozone will be the best bets and are relatively common place much like our Halfords.
Walmart is the other big place... The US version of Asda.

They all sell things like Meguiars and the usuals.

Unless your more specific with an area theres no way of finding a 'proper' detailing store nearby.
