Put the si in for an mot on Friday came back with bad news!!!!!! £150 worth of welding due to offside front sub frame mount excessively corroded also nearside suspension component mounting excessively corroded also nearside rear wheel arch suspension mounting excessively corroded. That’s just the welding, next is steering column top bearing excessively worn, offside front McPherson strut insecure!!!!!!! nearside front velocity joint gaiter insecurely mounted to its housing!!!!!!!! nearside front anti-roll bar linkage insecure also offside!!!!!!!!!!! nearside front suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement also offside!!!!!!!!!!! also offside rear brake pipe inadequately supported!!!!!!!!!! exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle test!!!!!!!!!!



So they are all 15 failures!!!!!!!! poo!!!!!!!!!!
My local garage said £400 for every thing but I said just do the welding. quoted £150. didn't think was to bad because he said it will take 5 hours of welding!!!!!!!!

As for the other bits, will drop both front suspension off the 2i and will get him to do the steering column bit.
