yep ford were the first place I tried so I could get the part no. to try other places. Ford said they no longer did it Then various parts places said they couldn't get hold of one either.

I believe the car is single point injection, but what does HCS stand for?

The car has the big round disc type filter ontop of the throttle body if that helps in identifying what type it is. Unfortunately when I had a look I didn't check whether it was inj or carb so can't be 100%

The AA guy tho said the pump was an electronic one, and also thought that the cars that had mechanical pump were the ones that had a carb.
