I had a chack on Auotdata, The XR3i pump delivery pressure as below



is just suplying enough pressure to run the turbo. Turbo below



In theory a 3i pump is ok for a limited time as if the pump was to drop below is maximum you could have reduced fuel then a lean condition then bye bye pistons!
