my starter motor wouldnt work when my engine got hot and i found some time ago that a heat sheild was missing, so i got one and fitted it with a different starter, since then my cars been in the body shop but now i got it back and i could try it, car was idling on my drive for abit and when i turned it off and on again the starter motor locked slightly then kicked in!
i think it wont work at all like last time if the car was hotter

the heat sheild i put on seems small and clips on to the pipe, is this defo the only sheild for the starter?

ive seen some starter sheilds in burtons cateloge that cover the starter, should i try one of these mayb?
