I would imagine that initially the L8 package will be more expensive, but then it will be cheaper and easier to map...

but what i meant was is the system being further developed for the p8, so it can be live mapped without the pectel ...?
does the l8 upgrade involve new hardware (ie a new board fitted) to enable this or is it just a new chip with this new software,...?
