The connectors aren't present on a 2wd, so you need to check other stuff (equally valid on 4x4, but 9 times out of 10 it's the bulkhead connectors on 4x4):
You need to check all the connections in the supply and (more importantly) the ground path to the coil circuit - this includes the coil and ignition amp connections, earth tag connections on the inlet plenum, chassis earth connection on the front corner of the battery tray.
Try running a stout wire directly from battery negative terminal to the inlet plenum where the earth tags bolt on.
