Thats pretty much the same, and almost as bad as lifting off sharply TBH, jus without the engine braking.

Which is what he and most people do, and then crash

Tho its far better than plain old lifting off i guess, so not bad advice for beginners maybe.

But at the same time, IMO best of be taught the proper way from the start.
