I understand you points, as mentioned there are good and bad in all walks of life and FORTUNATELY (or unfortunately, depending on the way you look at it )... The police service is made up of a complete cross section of society; black white purple green or orange, aswell as cocks and arseholes, along with genuinely decent fellows, such as you or I who are just trying to make a difference to society
