Cheers steve, i didnt mean kick the clutch, i meant dip it completely, get traction back, lift off the throtle, lift clutch, and off you go. kicking would just make you lose traction again as you mention!

I thought the worst thing to do is lift off, as when you do, the back end doesnt want to try and go straight again, it jus wants to follow it's path and overtake you. I would of kept my foot where it was, slowly lifting off and controling it rather than pooing it, lifting off and spinning!

Ofcourse never having drifted properly or got a car sideways properly i am only guessing
