I always thought when get it sideways the best thing to do is keep it planted so you dont lose total control and lose the back end completely, but my mate said he got told at a knockhill driving day to dip the clutch, suerly much of the same effect
There is logic in that as the weight transfer caused by engine braking throws the car harder in the other direction.
