Ours averaged very low 20s mpg. They're slow and have to work hard on the motorway. The last one we had of that shape had some minor air suspension and electrical issues (continually discharged battery), traded it in for a new one before the dealer managed to find out what was wrong with it. One before that needed a new auto box when it was about six months old.
The current-shape one is leagues ahead, but the diesels are still underpowered (there's a V8 diesel out this year).
Oh, and don't put filthy chav 22"s on it
