i may be in a dream world, but doesnt it say on the chassis/vin plate what the colour code is?

i remember my brothers S2 was Radiant Red P9 or something like that, isnt that enough for Ford or someone else to mix up a colour?

(i cant remember where i know that from, it may not have been on the plate at all, but i sure do remember getting the mirrors and surrounds painted and saying the paint code!)

and are you sure the rest of your motor hasnt been painted before you started on it? (previous owners etc? could have been paint damaged before you bought it)
