I just had this done... today! My car was painted and all the glass taken out, after the outter trim was removed from the side glass the silicone/sealer that bonds the glass to the body needs to be cut out, this will allow the glass to be removed from the body. Once the glass is out the metal clips that hold the outter trim in place (they also center the glass in the opening) can then also be removed. Then the excess silicone/sealer can be removed in preperation for the glass to be reinstalled after paint.
As mentioned above the front/rear glass has to be cut out and the replacement rubber seals come in a big roll and is cut to fit.
