I think the handling (so unfussed and the capability to make crap driver look like a god, lol) and the more refined delivery possibly do make them feel slower, but doubt it actually is.

I've been out in '260' VIII and a tweaked IX and neither of them were what I'd call slow by any means (in real terms).
