But Pit-bulls, were bred for fighting and the majority of bull terrier owners that I have ever met seem to own the dog's due to their reputation and the status it then gives them.
They didn't get that reputation from playing with fluffy toys and mothering groups of baby ducks, did they?
the 'street' rep that they have i agree with. But they arent all bred to fight, only the scum owners would do that to their dogs, but then they are a means to earn money. Owners who have them as pets will obviously not train them to fight. you could train ANY dog to fight. They just use terriers due to their physique.
Did you know that Staff Bull terriers are known among staffie circles as the 'Nanny dog'? due to there good temperament and how they will look after and protect children as if they were there own?
They can be one of the most enjoyable breeds of dog to own if you buy one for the right reasons .
