U will prob have to rotate the circlip before it's opening lines up with one of the openings in the shaft. Make sure alll the greace is out, as u wont see it.

It's tricky if u havent done it before. It's easier if one person uses the circlip pliers to open the clip, while another taps it off.
Thats wierd, definately 100% only one on all the ones ive done myself And all the ones ive done have had those queer circlips that dont have holes to lock into, just upturned ends, but because of what they are have never been out of line??? Must be a variation on them

I've also never had to tap one off they all have just pulled out very freely.

I agree though.........DEFINATELY easier to have one person tugging while you open her up (sorry)
