As you see from the likes of eBay and so on a mint S1 restored or not fetches good money. Personally in my eyes a car that has had major restoration work (like cutting of major panels and being welded back up) shouldnt be worth anything near that of an original car, for obvious reasons, but the way it seems to be is as long as there is no rot they fetch the money.

As AJC and i previously said, for a 20 year old car the paints done very well especially seeing as it gets used and doesnt sit in the garage never to see the light of day. I personally think a re-spray but obviously you are going to pay good money for it, but it can only be a good thing, in terms of appearance and also helping to keep rust at bay
