In German it's called 'lehrgeld' - money you pay to have lernt something. I'm sure those going back will have lernt from their adventures. The track bites you quite hard if you aren't respectful - I find that if Im not flowing nicely (hard to describe this - a bit like the force in Star Wars ) then it's best to ease off and hope for a better run next time - obviously you can be flowing it really nicely but something will still go amiss, thats what you have to rectify on the next lap.

To be honest the Easter weekend is by far the busiest and craziest, people come from all over to be there. With all the PS games it's not surprising that so many come and don't get it right - there is only one way to learn the track and that is to drive it frequently. Even after the winter break, it can be difficult to remember all the lines and combinations.

I drove a lap in the fog with Dan last year, visibility was down to 25m in places, and even having a reasonable amount of experience (a few hundred laps), I was still unsure as to what was coming up in some places.

I would definitely recommend coming over during the week, where the track is generally open in the evening - you'll be in good company, as only locals, and race and rally teams will be there, so you can get lots of clean laps in, and get to go out with Porsch Cup drivers, WRC drivers and generally people who can show you some of the finer points.

Big thanks to StevenRW for helping me with my brakes on Sat. morning - I've now ordered the AP 6-pot kit as it was extremely annoying to not be able to really push the car once conditions had become suitable.
