hell no if ure doin a bare shell, then do a bare shell!!!! id even drop out the grommits and replace em, if your doin that much work then add a few more hours to it and do it right!!!!! any corners u cut now will be onother job u gota do l8r,

i just put a box in my canny, clutch was 0.2mm less than stock so i swaped it out, probly had 50,000 miles there but for the sake of a £50 clutch i changed it out, now i no in my self that it is perfect
