How do you work that out? Do you realise how fast teh gas travels the length of the car? As long as your using a device capable of measuring and displaying oxygen leaks, the tailpipe is a perfectly good place to sample under most conditions. If however a screamer or alternative bypass device is fitted, you need to measure prior to its manifold connection.
