If Cable and xp;

First of reset the router using the button on the back of it and unplug your cable modem and leave a few minutes before plugging back up. Plug in your modem to the router and then install the wireless card on the pc. Start internet explorer and type 192.168.0.1 into the router (this may be differnet but will state in manual) You can then see the various

Make sure local dhcp is enabled:



FOr now leave all security off. Close internet explorer and then go start...run... type "cmd" into run box... when black window appears type"ipconfig/all" and it should display an ip address of probably 192.168.0.2 or simalar, if it says 0.0.0.0 or anything 169.x.x.x then you wont connect.
