Hmmmmmmmmm, sounds like an ok reading.

Next test (your guna love this)

You've got to somehow hold the terminals on the sensor, while at the same time being in the car to turn it over........... Set the meter to AC volts, and you should get a voltage reading. (unplugged again)

(Probably wise at this point to employ your glamorous assistant to turn the car over )
